About Kevin

Kevin Rogers has been close to the natural world since his early childhood. He joined the RSPB’s Young Ornithologists Club (YOC) in the 1960’s and would amaze his friends by his ability to identify birds by their calls and songs.

Kevin’s passion for nature has remained throughout his life and he knows every corner of Ufford and cares for all our wildlife species and ecosystem.

He particularly enjoys undertaking voluntary work with the Friends of Parkland Woods and believes that their work will create a legacy for the next generation of young aspiring wildlife enthusiasts.

About David

David moved to Ufford nearly 5 years ago and acted Footpath Warden from 2018. Walking around the village ignited his interest in the history of Ufford, its buildings and the people who lived here.

During the Covid lockdown, David took on a project to upgrade the Heritage Trail leaflet and researched many of the locations on the Trail with the help of many people who live in the village. The QR coded trail, which can be accessed using a mobile phone, was updated and launched in 2021.

Our Heritage Walk will tour some of the 31 locations, exploring the history and the lives of some of the people who have shaped Ufford’s character.

Accessibility Advice

These are country walks through a variety of paths, mostly unpaved, which can be muddy and slippery. Suffolk is not a hilly county but there are some relatively steep slopes. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear
