Poems & Writings
About Suffolk

Throughout Parklands Woods and along some of the key routes of the festival, you will find writing about Suffolk from authors who have lived in or loved our Suffolk landscapes and villages.  From George Orwell to Charles Dickens, Ed Sheeran to Ronald Blythe, Ruth Rendell to Arthur Ransome, Richard Curtis to Dodie Smith, these are writers who each have something to say about their love – or otherwise – of Suffolk.  The collection as a whole offers a stimulating and thoughtful commentary on our own county.  There are even a surprising number of quotations about Ufford.

There is no map for these quotations – we hope you will discover them as you travel between venues, and that you will take the time to go to the Parklands woods to read the many quotations hanging from the trees along the main paths.
